Christopher Petersen

Projects: Advances in Underactuated Spacecraft Control and supervising Prof. Kalmanovsky's space related projects.

Work Description:
Dr. Christopher Petersen is a recent Ph.D. of the University of Michigan and was a student of Professor Ilya Kolmanovsky.  He now works in AFRL’s spacecraft GNC group at Kirtland Air Force Base.  His research interests include geometric control theory, analysis and control of underactuated and overactuated spacecraft, development of rotation and translation coupling in spacecraft dynamics, development of real-time control algorithms for autonomous spacecraft, optimal control of spacecraft with constraints, and exploitation of external forces for controllability.
